DeLaval presents DeLaval voluntary milking system VMS model 2005
In the latest VMS model the running costs have been significantly reduced, closing the gap to traditional milking systems. The new vacuum pump solution cuts energy demands by 60 percent compared to the previous standard version. Overall energy consumption has been reduced by 40 percent compared to one year ago.
In the new model reliable hydraulic technology power and control the DeLaval VMS robot arm. As a result the arm is now faster and more robust and the teat cup attachment is 30 percent faster than before, increasing the overall capacity. To further enhance milk quality control, four optical sensors detect the presence of blood in the milk. If the milk contains blood and/or is found to have a high level of electrical conductivity, indicating a risk for mastitis, it can be automatically diverted from the main milk storage tank.
Brand new management software is also part of the DeLaval VMS 2005 release. The new software is more user friendly with a clearer overview of data allowing management decisions to be taken quicker. The software platform supports wireless user interfaces for maximum flexibility and user friendliness. Existing VMS customers will be pleased to learn that all new software features in the VMS version 2005 can be fitted to their existing DeLaval VMS installation.
By early 2005 more than 1 000 farmers around the world will have invested in a VMS solution from DeLaval. This shows that the DeLaval VMS is fast becoming the most trusted and preferred automatic robotic system on the market.
“With the VMS model 2005 DeLaval is clearly taking the lead in the automatic robot market” says Thierry Perrotin, Solution Manager VMS at DeLaval.
