Optimal throughput and comfort

The cows face inwards and the milkers stand on the outside of the platform in the TURN-STYLES® PER system. External rotaries give the milkers good access to the collecting yard and ready access for assisting the cow at the entry and exit positions. The cow entry is very fast because cows walk straight on to the platform without any turns or use of gates. They stand parallel to each other, producing a smaller platform radius than for the same number of cows on an internal rotary.

The cows stand at virtually 90 degrees to the platform, allowing milking through the cow’s rear legs in true parallel style. Each cow has her own individual stall and is not affected by a nervous or misbehaving herd mate. If a problem occurs with the equipment in one stall, the stall can be blocked off during the milking operation with very little effect on parlour performance. The remaining stalls are functional. Cows are easy to train in the TURN-STYLES® PER system and adapt very quickly to it.
